Abstract[English]
Methods are provided that enable a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) to shape a beam being redirected by the RIS for robustness whether the RIS is integrated at a transmitter, such as a base station or a user equipment (UE), or the RIS is a separate entity from the transmitter. For the scenario in which the RIS is integrated at the transmitter, several implementation advantages are described. For the scenario in which the RIS is a separate entity from the transmitter, signalling schemes are provided that enable robust beam generation.[French]
L'invention concerne des procédés qui permettent à une surface intelligente reconfigurable (RIS) de mettre en forme un faisceau qui est redirigé par la RIS pour plus de robustesse si la RIS est intégrée au niveau d'un émetteur, tel qu'une station de base ou un équipement utilisateur (UE), ou si la RIS représente une entité séparée de l'émetteur.
