Abstract[English]
The invention relates to area of interest-specific information for multi-access edge computing (MEC). A session management function (SMF) (100) dynamically obtains MEC resource information or edge application server (EAS) deployment information for an area of interest (550). The obtained information comprises a single EAS instance (630) to be used by a plurality of client devices (610) that are located in the area of interest (550) and running the same application service. The SMF (100) transmits information about the single EAS instance (630) and the plurality of client devices (630) to an EAS discovery function (300) such that the EAS discovery function (300) can connect the plurality of client device (610) in the area of interest (550) to the single EAS instance (630). By using the single EAS instance (630) for the client devices (610) in the area of interest (550), application level collaboration among the client devices (610) can be facilitated while enhancing user QoS expiring by, for instance, bringing down an end-to-end latency.[French]
