Abstract[English] Disclosed are apparatuses, cells, and stacks for water electrolysis, where electrolyte and electrodes are compartmentalized in a sealed compartment and separated from the water feedstock by a porous non-wettable, gas and vapor permeable interface. The electrochemical reactions are thus fed by the water vapor crossing from the liquid water feed through the non- wettable interface and condensing in the sealed compartment. The hydrogen and oxygen gases generated by electrolysis move in the opposite direction, through the non-wettable interface, and away from the sealed reaction compartment. No liquid flow contact exists between the sealed compartment and the environment, allowing the use of low-quality water with neutral pH as feedstock.[French] La divulgation concerne des appareils, des cellules et des empilements pour l'électrolyse de l'eau, où l'électrolyte et les électrodes sont compartimentés dans un compartiment étanche et séparés de la charge d'alimentation en eau par une interface poreuse perméable au gaz et à la vapeur.
