Abstract[English] The present invention relates to a process for the solubilisation and disaggregation of polyglutamine [poly(Q)] peptides using nucleic acids and nucleic acid analogues. The process relies on the discovery that polyadenine will bind to poly(Q) in a specific manner. Which in turn indicates that adenine can bind in a complementary manner to the cis conformed backbone of any peptide or protein through an alignment of their polar groups. The cis backbone structure then, appears able to mimic the part played by uracil or thymine. This is a novel if not revolutionary view of the binding potential of adenine nucleotides and no instance of this mode of binding has previously been identified or communicated.[French] La présente invention concerne une méthode de solubilisation et de désagrégation de peptides de polyglutamine [poly(Q)] à l'aide d'acides nucléiques et d'analogues d'acides nucléiques.
