Abstract[English]
An in-line, combination valve and filtration unit to regulate and filter the exhaust flow of insufflation gas during laparoscopic surgery, said unit comprising two light, thin, stiff, outwardly expanded shell parts (3, 4) of more or less circular planform; filtration media being captured between abutting edges of said shell parts shaped for the purpose; an inlet shell part in the form of a simple shell; an outlet shell part in the form of a simple shell or incorporating an adjustable valve assembly; and panels and flow-deflecting elements fixed to the interiors of said shell parts to support said filtration media and/or direct gas flow through said shell pails; said shell parts having axially- or radially-arranged inlet and outlet fittings, said fittings taking the form of barb fittings, Luer fittings or the like.[French]
Une unité combinée de soupape et de filtration en ligne, pour réguler et filtrer le flux d'échappement de gaz d'insufflation pendant une chirurgie laparoscopique, ladite unité comprenant deux parties de coque (3, 4) légères, minces, rigides, étendues vers l'extérieur de forme plane plus ou moins circulaire; des milieux de filtration étant capturés entre des bords de butée desdites parties de coque façonnées à des fins; une partie de coque d'entrée sous la forme d'une simple coque; une partie de coque de sortie sous la forme d'une simple coque ou incorporant un ensemble soupape réglable; et des panneaux et des éléments de déviation de flux fixés à l'intérieur desdites parties de coque pour supporter ledit milieu de filtration et/ou diriger un le flux de gaz à travers lesdits seaux de coque; lesdites parties de coque présentant des raccords d'entrée et de sortie disposés axialement ou radialement, lesdits raccords se présentant sous la forme de raccords cannelés, de raccords Luer ou analogues.
