Global Patent Prosecution Highway: new participants

On July 6, 2017, the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand (IPONZ) and the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce of Colombia (SIC) joined the Global Patent Prosecution Highway (GPPH) pilot program. This expands the GPPH network to already 24 participating IP Offices.

The Global PPH is the program allowing applicants to request expedited examination of their patent application at the Office of Later Examination (OLE) if the corresponding application at the Office of Earlier Examination (OEE) was successfully examined and at least one of the claims was determined as allowable. Said program applies to both conventional and PCT national phase applications.

If you need more information on getting a patent granted in Colombia or New Zealand, please visit our applicant’s guide. Also, we welcome you to get a quote for IP rights protection in countries of your interest via our quotation system.
