Multiple design applications
Multiple design applications are possible in Greece. The number of designs must not exceed 50.

Minimum filing requirements
To obtain a filing date the design application in Greece must contain at least the following:
- graphic or photographic representation of design in duplicate;
- the complete data concerning the priority;
- receipt of paid filing and registration fees;
- the complete applicant’s and creator’s data (name, address and nationality).
A signed Power of Attorney must be provided within four months from filing the Greek industrial design application.
The priority document translated into Greek must be submitted to the Patent Office within four months from filing the design application.
A declaration reflecting relations between the applicant and the creator of the design must be provided and certified by Notary Public and legalised by Apostille.
The basic validity term of industrial design in Greece is five years and may be renewed four times for a total of 25 years.

Examination of a design application in Greece
The design application in Greece does not undergo the substantive examination.
The novelty of the industrial design cannot be disproved by the publication of the design on the officially recognised exhibition if the design is filed in Greece within six months from such disclosure.

Grant and patent maintenance
There is no official grant fee stipulated. Filing fees cover the first five-year period of patent validity. The second five-year period is due on the fifth year from the application date.

Representation by a patent attorney
Foreigners must perform the industrial design prosecution in Greece through an agent, a registered Greek attorney.
