Translation into the Romanian
For validation the European patent in Romania it is necessary to provide the Romanian translation of the complete specification of the European patent into Romanian within three months from the date of publication of the data on the European patent in the official bulletin. The term for providing the Romanian translation of a European patent is extendable for three months upon the payment of an extra fee.

Representation by a patent attorney
The Power of Attorney should be provided to the Romanian Patent Office simultaneously with filing or within 4 months from filing the request for validation of the European patent, or within 2 months from the date on which the applicant is notified by the Patent Office with reference to the filing of the missing document, whichever expires later. Legalization or notarization is not required.
