Belarus, officially the Republic of Belarus, is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe which borders with Russia to the Northeast, Ukraine to the South, Poland to the West, and Lithuania and Latvia to the Northwest. Minsk is the capital of Belarus; the other main cities are Brest, Grodno, Gomel, Mogilev and Vitebsk. Belarus is a member of the Eurasian Patent Convention.
