Venezuela: deadline for ratification of oppositions

We would like to draw the attention of the interested parties who have filed trademark oppositions in Venezuela, which currently have pending status.

The Venezuelan Patent and Trademark Office (VPTO) urges the opponents interested in continuation of the opposition procedure to file a writ confirming their interest by November 14, 2016. The measure is taken in view of the VPTO’s caseload.

In case of failure to submit the writs by the said date, the VPTO will consider the oppositions abandoned, and the trademark registration will continue on its regular basis.
