Hong Kong: Trademarks, Designs - Changes to the official fees

Effective March 30, 2015, changes to the official fees for legal protection of trademarks and industrial designs entered into force.

The trademark fees are increased significantly.  It concerns official fees for conducting trademark search, filing application, amendment and division of a Hong Kong  trademark application as well as the renewal of a trademark registration.

On the contrary the official fees for designs were decreased. The changes concern the official fees for renewal of the design patent validity term extension for 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th 5-year periods.
