Abstract[English]
The disclosed damper is designed to minimize first-mode vibration wind-induced resonance in tubular steel lightning masts used in electric substations. It employs a hanging cable system threaded through washers and variously sized caster wheels, addressing resonance vibrations that can lead to structural fatigue and failure. This design ensures consistent engagement with the structure, even with tapered walls, by utilizing different diameter caster wheels at various elevations.[French]
L'amortisseur divulgué est conçu pour réduire au minimum la résonance induite par le vent de vibration de premier mode dans des mâts de foudre en acier tubulaires utilisés dans des sous-stations électriques. Il utilise un système de câble suspendu fileté à travers des rondelles et des roulettes de taille variée, adressant des vibrations de résonance qui peuvent conduire à une fatigue et à une défaillance structurales.
