Abstract[English]
The Endoscopic Adjustable Gastric Barrier represents a groundbreaking innovation in the management of obesity, offering a unique, minimal invasive approach without the complications and limitation of other currently available interventional managements., this revolutionary technique works by dividing the stomach into a smaller, tube-like space for food, without altering the stomach's natural anatomy or functions. This preserves the stomach's function to produce hormones and digestive juices, while effectively reducing food intake hence significant weight loss. What makes this innovation (EAGB) unique is its adjustability and reversibility, and when ideal weight is achieved it can be removed endoscopically. It is secured to the stomach by clips with minimal injury and without risk of necrosis and leak. Additionally, all endoscopic and laparoscopic interventions are possible as normal population.[French]
La barrière gastrique réglable par voie endoscopique représente une avancée novatrice dans la gestion de l'obésité, par le fait qu’elle représente une approche mini-invasive unique sans entraîner de complications et sans présenter les inconvénients d'autres modes de gestion par intervention couramment disponibles. Cette technique révolutionnaire fonctionne par division de l'estomac en un espace plus petit, de forme tubulaire disponible pour recevoir les aliments, sans modifier l'anatomie naturelle de l'estomac ou sans en modifier les fonctions. Ceci permet de préserver la fonction de l'estomac pour la production des hormones et des sucs digestifs, tout en réduisant efficacement la prise d'aliments, ce qui permet une perte de poids significative.
