Abstract[English]
The present invention relates to a system (200) and a method for managing power consumption in an illumination module (108) of a vehicle (100). The system (200) comprises a power source (202) configured to supply driving current to the illumination module (108). The system (200) further comprises an active switching element (204) connected in series with the power source (202) and the illumination module (108) for regulating flow of the driving current from the power source (202) to the illumination module (108). Furthermore, the system (200) comprises a control unit (206) coupled to the active switching element (204) and the power source (202). The control unit (206) is configured to receive an ignition state of the vehicle (100) and control an operation of the active switching element (204) based on the ignition state of the vehicle (100) to reduce the sleep mode current of the illumination module (108).[French]
