The present subject matter relates generally to a brake assembly (200) and a brake rotor (201). The brake rotor is provided with double layer coating. The first layer (L1) is disposed on the plurality of brake engagement surfaces (S1, S2) of the brake rotor (201). The second layer (L2) is disposed on the first layer (L1). The second 5 layer (L2) is more porous than the first layer (L1).[French]
