Abstract[English]
A hypochlorous acid-containing composition for treating and preventing onychomycosis, which composition comprises about 1 to 50,000 ppm of hypochlorous acid; a pH adjusting agent to adjust the pH of the composition to 2 to 9; and water. The hypochlorous acid can inhibit or kill Trichophyton rubrum, Candida albicans, Fusarium spp., Aspergillus spp., Acremonium spp., Scytalidium spp., and Scopulariopsis brevicaulis, as well as other fungal strains and spores thereof that pose a potential risk of causing onychomycosis. Therefore, the hypochlorous acid effectively eliminates fungi, spores and other pathogens that cause onychomycosis in infected nails, thus preventing the recurrence of onychomycosis. This provides a thorough solution for patients and offers the general public (including patients) an effective method to prevent the development of onychomycosis before the onset of symptoms.[French]
L'invention concerne une composition contenant de l'acide hypochloreux destinée au traitement et à la prévention de l'onychomycose, ladite composition comprenant environ 1 à 50 000 ppm d'acide hypochloreux ; un agent d'ajustement du pH pour ajuster le pH de la composition à 2 à 9 ; et de l'eau.
