Abstract[English]
A polychromatic carving medium (100) and system for layered colour revelation. The medium (100) includes a workpiece having a multi-layered structure composed of a plurality of stacked layers (102), each layer being of a distinct colour and bonded to form a unitary laminated body. Carving through the layers exposes underlying colours corresponding to carving depth, producing a depth-dependent chromatic effect. The layers may be formed from polymeric, vinyl, or composite materials joined by heat-pressure lamination or thermoplastic fusion, and may include stabilising or protective coatings. In another embodiment, the workpiece comprises a polymeric matrix having amorphously distributed colour zones that yield non-repetitive chromatic patterns upon carving. A method of manufacture (300) includes forming coloured sheets, stacking, fusing, cooling, and trimming to produce the layered medium. The invention further provides a kit comprising the carving medium (100), carving tools (402), and design templates for artistic or educational use.[French]
