Abstract[English]
A vision guidance system and method for automatically guiding an agricultural machine through a pass of a field. The vision guidance system includes an image capture device, processors, memory and a user interface. The method includes mounting the image capture device on the machine at a known height and pitch angle such that the image capture device has a field of view forward of the machine at a predetermined working distance. The image capture device captures images of the crop row(s) within the field of view field at a known frame rate as the machine advances through each pass of the field. The system processes the images to ultimately track a centerline of at least one tracked crop rows in order to generate guidance data to automatically steer the machine relative to the tracked centerline through each pass of the field.[French]
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de guidage par vision pour guider automatiquement une machine agricole lors d'un passage dans un champ. Le système de guidage par vision comprend un dispositif de capture d'image, des processeurs, une mémoire et une interface utilisateur. Le procédé comprend le montage du dispositif de capture d'image sur la machine à une hauteur et un angle de pas connus de telle sorte que le dispositif de capture d'image a un champ de vision vers l'avant de la machine à une distance de travail prédéterminée.
