Abstract[English]
: The invention relates to a process for producing disentangled polyethylene using a catalyst and co-catalyst. The process involves: i) adding solvent, optional co-catalyst and modifier to a reaction vessel, ii) introducing ethylene, iii) adding a pre-mix of solvent, catalyst, and co-catalyst, and iv) polymerizing for up to 30 minutes under 2–12 bar ethylene pressure. Turbulence is generated in the polymerization mixture at a Reynolds number of at least 150,000 at the stirrer tip. The pre-mix is added after flushing the vessel with ethylene. The resulting polyethylene has an average molecular weight Mw of at least 1,000,000 g/mol. The invention also covers the resulting highly disentangled polyethylene, films made from it, and shaped articles comprising the polymer and/or such films.[French]
L'invention concerne un procédé de production de polyéthylène démêlé à l'aide d'un catalyseur et d'un co-catalyseur. Le procédé consiste à : i) ajouter un solvant, un co-catalyseur facultatif et un modificateur à un récipient de réaction, ii) introduire de l'éthylène, iii) ajouter un pré-mélange de solvant, de catalyseur et de co-catalyseur, et iv) polymériser pendant jusqu'à 30 minutes sous une pression d'éthylène allant de 2 à 12 bars. Une turbulence est générée dans le mélange de polymérisation à un nombre de Reynolds supérieur ou égal à 150 000 au niveau de la pointe d'agitateur. Le pré-mélange est ajouté après rinçage du récipient avec de l'éthylène. Le polyéthylène résultant a un poids moléculaire moyen Mw supérieur ou égal à 1 000 000 g/mol. L'invention concerne également le polyéthylène hautement démêlé obtenu, des films fabriqués à partir de celui-ci, et des articles façonnés comprenant le polymère et/ou de tels films.
