Example embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a solution of on- demand system information block 1 (OD-SIB1) deactivation. In the method, a first apparatus obtains (315, 710) a measurement result of at least one measurement metric associated with an OD-SIB1 operation (201, 202, 203) activated for a cell (104) in a network energy saving mode. The OD-SIB1 operation (201, 202, 203) is configured to support transmission of at least one SIB (214, 224, 234) of the cell (104) to a terminal device (120-3) upon a request from the terminal device (120-3). Moreover, the first apparatus determines (320, 720) whether the OD-SIB1 operation (201, 202, 203) is to be deactivated for the cell (104) based on the measurement result; and in accordance with a determination that the OD-SIB1 operation (201, 202, 203) is to be deactivated, initiates (325, 730) a deactivation procedure of the OD-SIB1 operation for the cell (104).[French]
