Abstract[English]
A conformal antenna system for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) applications, the system comprising a tubular POD, a curved vertically polarized radio frequency (RF) antenna conformally integrated into a curved surface of the tubular POD at a first location, and a curved horizontally polarized RF antenna conformally integrated into the curved surface of the tubular POD at a second location, wherein the first location and the second location are arranged such that the curved vertically polarized RF antenna and the curved horizontally polarized RF antenna share a common RF emission axis.[French]
L'invention concerne un système d'antenne conforme pour des applications de radar à synthèse d'ouverture (SAR), le système comprenant un POD tubulaire, une antenne radiofréquence (RF) à polarisation verticale incurvée intégrée de manière conforme dans une surface incurvée du POD tubulaire à un premier emplacement, et une antenne RF à polarisation horizontale incurvée intégrée de manière conforme dans la surface incurvée du POD tubulaire à un second emplacement, le premier emplacement et le second emplacement étant agencés de telle sorte que l'antenne RF à polarisation verticale incurvée et l'antenne RF à polarisation horizontale incurvée partagent un axe d'émission RF commun.
