Abstract[English]
Pellets of ethylene/α-olefin copolymer are devolatilized using nitrogen in a devolatilization bin via a multistep process which reduces the time required for attaining a desired residual volatile hydrocarbons content. Said multistep process, among other things, comprises conveying a first portion of the devolatilized ethylene/α-olefin copolymer pellets to a holdup bin and combining the first portion of pellets from the holdup bin and a second portion of the devolatilized ethylene/α-olefin copolymer pellets from the devolatilization bin to obtain blended devolatilized ethylene/α-olefin copolymer pellets.[French]
Des pastilles de copolymère éthylène/alpha-oléfine sont dévolatilisées à l'aide d'azote dans un bac de dévolatilisation par l'intermédiaire d'un procédé à plusieurs étapes qui réduit le temps nécessaire pour atteindre une teneur souhaitée en hydrocarbures volatils résiduels. Ledit procédé à plusieurs étapes, entre autres, comprend le transport d'une première partie des pastilles de copolymère éthylène/alpha-oléfine dévolatilisées dans un bac de stockage et la combinaison de la première partie de pastilles provenant du bac de stockage et d'une seconde partie des pastilles de copolymère d'éthylène/alpha-oléfine dévolatilisées provenant du bac de dévolatilisation pour obtenir des pastilles de copolymère éthylène/alpha-oléfine dévolatilisées mélangées.
