A compression cylinder for a reciprocating compressor has a tubular body (4; 17), which extends about a longitudinal axis (A1), delimits a compression chamber (5) configured to contain pressurised gas, is provided with an elastic element (6), and is deformable along the longitudinal axis (A1) so as to selectively assume a compressed configuration and an extended configuration; a first substantially rigid end element (7), which is coupled to a first end (8) of the tubular body (4; 17); and a second substantially rigid end element (9), which is coupled to a second end (10) of the tubular body (4; 17) at a distance (D1, D2) measured along the longitudinal axis (A1) from the first end element (7).[French]
