Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products that provide for selection of assisting nodes (22) for ambient internet of things (AloT) devices (29). In the context of a method, the method includes providing for reception (60) of a first signal from a network node, wherein the first signal is indicative of a first set of parameters associated with transmission of a test sequence to at least an AloT device; providing for transmission (62) of an activation signal to the AloT device in accordance with the first set of parameters, wherein the activation signal comprises the test sequence, and wherein the test sequence is indicative of at least an identifier associated with a first candidate node; and providing for reception (64) of a second signal from the network node based at least in part on a received power associated with the activation signal.[French]
L'invention concerne des procédés, des appareils et des produits programmes d'ordinateur qui permettent la sélection de nœuds d'assistance (22) pour des dispositifs de l'Internet des objets ambiant (AloT) (29).
