Abstract[English]
The invention provides a crimping apparatus and method for securing a prosthetic valve onto a delivery system. The apparatus includes a set of graspers configured to grasp the distal end of the prosthetic valve, a hollow crimping shaft that collapses the graspers from an open to a closed position as they slide into the shaft, thereby crimping the distal end from its maximum uncrimped diameter to a fully crimped diameter, and a funnel coupled to the proximal end of the shaft. The hollow crimping shaft slides proximally relative to the graspers, causing the funnel to slide over the prosthetic valve from the crimped distal end. As the funnel slides, its inner wall crimps the remainder of the valve to the fully crimped diameter, and the shaft continues to slide until the fully crimped valve is entirely within the shaft.[French]
L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé de sertissage pour fixer une valve prothétique sur un système de pose. L'appareil comprend un ensemble de préhenseurs conçus pour saisir l'extrémité distale de la valve prothétique, un arbre de sertissage creux qui replie les préhenseurs d'une position ouverte à une position fermée lorsqu'ils coulissent dans l'arbre, sertissant ainsi l'extrémité distale de son diamètre non serti maximal à un diamètre complètement serti, et un entonnoir couplé à l'extrémité proximale de l'arbre.
