An ice maker can include a first chamber including an inlet, a second chamber disposed in the first chamber, extending around a shaft, including a first aperture, a plurality of ice slicers positioned on the second chamber, a die extending around the shaft and in contact with the second chamber, the die including a die aperture to allow ice out of the first aperture in an ice extrusion mode, an ice pusher extending around the shaft and including a rod, the rod aligned with the first aperture and extending into the first aperture in the ice extrusion mode to push ice out of the second chamber, a drive assembly to move the die and the ice pusher in the ice extrusion mode, and a controller to cause the rod to extend into the first aperture to push ice out of the second chamber and through the die aperture.[French]
