Abstract[English] An arc extinguishing device that divides the arc into multiple arcs. The process of division is achieved by initially splitting the arc into m parts as it enters the labyrinth of the large chamber, and then the weakened arc is divided into n parts as it enters the labyrinth of the smaller chambers. The total number of arc divisions equals m*n. Fig. 3 shows the step-by-step disassembly of the large chamber and the set of small chambers contained within it down to individual components. During the extinguishing process, there are no re-ignitions, voltage drops, overvoltage peaks, or emissions of ionized gases, which improves the protection conditions of the protected devices[French] L'invention concerne un dispositif d'extinction d'arc qui divise un arc en de multiples arcs.
