Abstract[English]
In one aspect, a method of performing mass spectrometry is disclosed, which comprises introducing a plurality of precursor ions into an ion dissociation device, dissociating at least a portion of the precursor ions into a first plurality of product ions having m/z ratios less than an m/z ratio of the precursor ions, discarding at least a portion of any precursor ions remaining subsequent to said dissociation step within said ion dissociation device, and subsequently, allowing at least a portion of said first plurality of product ions to exit from the ion dissociation device through an outlet of the ion dissociation device.[French]
Selon un aspect, l'invention divulgue un procédé de réalisation d'une spectrométrie de masse, qui comprend l'introduction d'une pluralité d'ions précurseurs dans un dispositif de dissociation ionique, la dissociation d'au moins une partie des ions précurseurs en une première pluralité d'ions produits ayant des rapports m/z inférieurs à un rapport m/z des ions précurseurs, le rejet d'au moins une partie de tous les ions précurseurs restant suite à ladite étape de dissociation à l'intérieur dudit dispositif de dissociation ionique, et ensuite, l'autorisation d'au moins une partie de ladite première pluralité d'ions produits de sortir du dispositif de dissociation ionique par une sortie du dispositif de dissociation ionique.
