The subject of the invention is a motor vehicle door lock having a locking mechanism (5) with a rotary latch (6) and at least one pawl (7), wherein the rotary latch (6) can be engaged in at least one engaging position by means of the pawl (7); a release lever (8), wherein the locking mechanism (5) can be transferred from the engaging position to a release position by means of the release lever (8); an electrical drive unit (10, 11, 12) and an actuating lever (9), wherein the actuating lever (9) can be actuated by the drive unit (10, 11, 13) and the locking mechanism (5) can be unlocked at least indirectly by means of the actuating lever (9), wherein the actuating lever (9) and a gearwheel (10) of the drive unit (10, 11, 13) can be mounted on a common shaft (19).[French]
