Abstract[English]
A method of producing a fish feed product comprising a source of single cell protein (SCP). The single cell protein is produced by a Knallgas microorganism and requires less plasticization than conventional sources of protein. The SCP is added with optional additional ingredients to form a composition that is pre-conditioned, extruded, and vacuum coating to form a fish feed product. The fish feed product includes water in no more than 16% by weight of total water is added to the fish food product or composition and requires zero or minimal drying, reducing the energy consumption of fish feed production.[French]
L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'un produit alimentaire pour poissons comprenant une source de protéine d'origine unicellulaire (SCP). La protéine d'origine unicellulaire est produite par un micro-organisme Knallgas et nécessite moins de plastification que les sources classiques de protéines. La SCP est ajoutée avec des ingrédients supplémentaires facultatifs pour former une composition qui est pré-conditionnée, extrudée et enrobée sous vide pour former un produit alimentaire pour poissons.
