A supported slotted friction block of train brake pad includes a friction block, comprising a slot that the friction block is configured with a support. The rear section is configured to the back portion of the friction block, providing braking force from a train brake pad. The slot creating by the elimination of a part of the friction block that slides on a train brake disc surface, dividing the friction block into the top section and the bottom section.
