. The methods comprise orally administering a therapeutically effective amount of an estetrol component at a daily dose of from 14 mg to 16 mg, based on the estetrol moiety, and drospirenone at a daily dose of from 2.5 mg to 3.5 mg. Also provided are compositions comprising an estetrol component and drospirenone for use in such methods.[French]
L'invention concerne des procédés permettant de fournir une contraception avec une probabilité accrue de saignements périodiques chez une femme présentant un IMC < 30,0 kg/m2, et des procédés permettant de fournir une contraception avec une probabilité réduite de saignements périodiques chez une femme présentant un IMC ≥ 30,0 kg/m2. Les procédés consistent à administrer par voie orale une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace d'un composant, l'estétrol, à une dose quotidienne comprise entre 14 et 16 mg, sur la base de la fraction d'estétrol, et de la drospirénone à une dose quotidienne comprise entre 2,5 et 3,5 mg. L'invention concerne également des compositions, comprenant le composant estétrol et de la drospirénone, destinées à être utilisées dans de tels procédés.
