Abstract[English]
Techniques are described for expanding and/or improving the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0 television protocol in robustly delivering the next generation broadcast television services. A receiver, to automatically switch from presenting a service on a first frequency to a second frequency such as when a mobile receiver is moving through a boundary region between two broadcasters, can consider not just signal strength and error rates of two frequencies carrying the same service to select which frequency to tune to, but also relative location and direction of motion of the receiver with respect to each broadcaster.[French]
L'invention concerne des techniques destinées à étendre et/ou améliorer le protocole de télévision ATSC (Comité des systèmes de télévision avancés) 3.0, par la fourniture robuste des services de diffusion télévisée de nouvelle génération. Un récepteur, pour passer automatiquement de la présentation d'un service sur une première fréquence à une seconde fréquence, par exemple lorsqu'un récepteur mobile se déplace dans une région frontalière entre deux diffuseurs, peut prendre en compte non seulement l'intensité du signal et les taux d'erreur de deux fréquences transportant le même service pour sélectionner la fréquence sur laquelle s'accorder, mais aussi l'emplacement relatif et la direction du mouvement du récepteur par rapport à chaque diffuseur.
