Abstract[English]
The present invention provides a radiant heating system comprising relatively low temperature radiant heating assemblies suitable to maintain the greenhouse plants (and not the greenhouse air) at a desired optimum temperature. Heat is provided to the screen itself and subsequently the screen provides the necessary heat to the plants by long wave radiation. The temperature of the heated screen is kept a few degrees Celsius higher than the optimum temperature required by the plants. Preliminary experimental trials have shown that temperatures of the heated screen such as slightly above the optimum plant temperature up to about 10 °C above the optimum plant temperature are adequate to maintain the plants at their optimum temperature, at very low air temperatures outside the greenhouse while achieving high energy saving relative to conventional greenhouse air heating systems.[French]
La présente invention concerne un système de chauffage par rayonnement comprenant des ensembles de chauffage par rayonnement à relativement basse température appropriés pour maintenir des plantes de serre (et non l’air de la serre) à une température optimale souhaitée. De la chaleur est fournie à l’écran lui-même et par la suite l’écran fournit la chaleur nécessaire aux plantes par un rayonnement à longues ondes. La température de l’écran chauffé est maintenue supérieure de quelques degrés Celsius à la température optimale requise par les plantes. Des essais expérimentaux préliminaires ont montré que des températures de l’écran chauffé telles que légèrement au-dessus de la température optimale des plantes jusqu'à environ 10 °C au-dessus de la température optimale des plantes sont adéquates pour maintenir les plantes à leur température optimale, à des températures d’air très basses à l’extérieur de la serre tout en réalisant des économies d’énergie importantes par rapport à des systèmes de chauffage d’air de serre classiques.
