Abstract[English] An ammonia cracking reactor comprising: one or more reaction tubes containing ammonia cracking catalyst; one or more fuel combustion elements for combusting fuel in a fuel combustion zone surrounding the one or more reaction tubes to provide heat energy to support the cracking of ammonia in the one or more reaction tubes; and one or more electrically powered heating elements to provide heat energy to support the cracking of ammonia in the one or more reaction tubes, wherein the one or more fuel combustion elements and the one or more electrically powered heating elements are provided in the same reactor for supporting the cracking of ammonia in the same reaction tubes and together form an electrically assisted fuel burning ammonia cracking reactor.[French] L'invention concerne un réacteur de craquage d'ammoniac comprenant : un ou plusieurs tubes de réaction contenant un catalyseur de craquage d'ammoniac ; un ou plusieurs éléments de combustion de combustible pour brûler du combustible dans une zone de combustion de combustible entourant le ou les tubes de réaction pour fournir de l'énergie thermique pour supporter le craquage d'ammoniac dans le ou les tubes de réaction ; et un ou plusieurs éléments chauffants alimentés électriquement pour fournir de l'énergie thermique pour supporter le craquage d'ammoniac dans le ou les tubes de réaction, le ou les éléments de combustion de combustible et le ou les éléments chauffants alimentés électriquement étant disposés dans le même réacteur pour supporter le craquage d'ammoniac dans les mêmes tubes de réaction et former ensemble un réacteur de craquage d'ammoniac à combustion de combustible assisté électriquement.
