The invention relates to a flavour diffuser (2) for a disposable water bottle (1), in particular a disposable plastic water bottle (1) with a capacity of 0.2 to 2 litres and comprising a neck (4) surrounded by a screw thread (40) for a screw cap (3) and by a collar (41) located under the thread (40) of the neck (4), the diffuser comprising: a flavour reservoir (5) that is annular or partially annular in shape so as to be placed around the neck (4) of this bottle (1) and that comprises a plurality of flavour-diffusing holes (6) distributed around the neck (4) of this bottle (1), one or more attachments (8) for attaching the diffuser (2) to this bottle (1), arranged so as to place the reservoir (5) around the neck (4) of this bottle (1), the structure of the reservoir (5), the arrangement of the holes (6), and the arrangement of the attachments (8) co-operating together with the cap in such a way that: when this cap (3) is unscrewed from the neck (4) of this bottle (1), the holes (6) are opened so as to allow flavour to diffuse out of the reservoir (5) around the neck (4) of this bottle (1) and towards the top of this bottle (1), when this cap (3) is screwed onto the neck (4) of this bottle (1), the holes (6) are closed so as to prevent flavour from diffusing out of the reservoir (5), the screwing of the cap (3) onto the neck (4) of this bottle (1) mechanically driving the simultaneous closure of the holes (6) of the reservoir (5), and the unscrewing of the cap (3) from the neck (4) of this bottle (1) mechanically driving the simultaneous opening of the holes (6) of the reservoir (5).[French]
