Erfindungsgemäß ist dabei vorgesehen, dass an dem Glättwerk (1) ein Reinigungssystem (6) angeordnet ist, wobei das Reinigungssystem (6) eine Reinigungseinheit (7) mit einem Reinigungskopf (8) umfasst, wobei die Reinigungseinheit (7) entlang der Walze positionierbar ist, wobei mittels der Reinigungseinheit (7) der Reinigungskopf (8) über die Oberfläche der Walze bewegbar ist, wobei die Reinigungseinheit (7) mit mindestens einer Linearführung (10) in Verbindung steht, wobei am Reinigungskopf (8) ein Putzwerkzeug (9) angeordnet ist, wobei das Putzwerkzeug (9) rotierbar ist und die Rotationsachse (18) des Putzwerkzeuges (9) senkrecht zur Rotationsachse (19) der zu reinigenden Walze ausgerichtet ist.
