Abstract[English]
The present invention pertains to a method for producing an antimicrobial composition preferably comprising piceol. Moreover, the invention relates to an antimicrobial composition comprising or consisting of piceol, preferably in an excess amount compared to picein, further plant-derived substances and optionally picein. The invention further relates to a cosmetic, personal care, household, home care, pet care or pharmaceutical product comprising said antimicrobial composition. Moreover, the invention relates to the use of a microorganism, preferably a lactobacillus species, for producing an antimicrobial composition comprising piceol from a composition, preferably a plant-extract, comprising picein. In addition, the invention relates to the use of shikimic acid for increasing the antimicrobial efficacy of piceol and/or to the use of piceol for increasing the antimicrobial efficacy of shikimic acid. La présente invention concerne un procédé de production d'une composition antimicrobienne comprenant de préférence du picéol. L'invention concerne également une composition antimicrobienne contenant ou constituée du picéol, de préférence en une quantité excédentaire par rapport à la picéine, d'autres substances dérivées de plantes et éventuellement de la picéine. L'invention concerne en outre un produit cosmétique, de soins personnels, de soins ménagers, à domicile, pour animaux de compagnie ou de produit pharmaceutique comportant ladite composition antimicrobienne. L'invention concerne aussi l'utilisation d'un micro-organisme, de préférence d'une espèce lactobacillus, pour produire une composition antimicrobienne comportant du picéol à partir d'une composition, de préférence un extrait végétal, comportant de la picéine. L'invention concerne en outre l'utilisation d'acide shikimique pour augmenter l'efficacité antimicrobienne du picéol et/ou l'utilisation du picéol pour augmenter l'efficacité antimicrobienne de l'acide shikimique.
