The invention relates to an interior trim assembly for a motor vehicle fitted with an adjustable steering column, the assembly comprising: - a dashboard having an opening bounded by an arch-shaped upper edge (18), wherein the steering column passes through the opening; - a shell (12) surrounding the column and having a lower portion and a convex upper portion (30) extending through the opening below the arch-shaped upper edge (18); - a flexible lining (32') extending between the upper portion (30) and the arch-shaped upper edge (18); wherein the shell upper portion (30) has a lateral wing (70) forming, with the shell lower portion, a cavity (72) that accommodates a member for locking the steering column, and wherein the flexible lining (32') comprises a lateral tongue (54) connected to the lateral wing (70).[French]
