Système et procédé d'identification d'un arc dans un système de transmission de puissance électrique par induction, le système selon l’invention présentant un conducteur primaire allongé dans lequel une source de courant alternatif applique un courant alternatif, un enroulement secondaire étant couplé par induction au conducteur primaire, l'enroulement secondaire fournissant le signal de tension alternative à partir duquel un signal de tension unipolaire est généré, le signal de tension unipolaire étant dérivé en fonction du temps et sa valeur étant surveillée quant à un dépassement d’une valeur seuil.
