The invention relates to a device and method for separating a particulate gas-solid mixture, comprising/using: a substantially vertical inlet pipe (23) suitable for receiving the particulate gas-solid mixture (13); a first bend (24) of substantially 90°, connected to the lower end of the inlet pipe and having a substantially vertical upper inlet and a substantially horizontal lower outlet; a second bend (27) of substantially 90°, connected to the lower end of the first bend and having a substantially horizontal upper inlet and a substantially vertical lower outlet; a discharge pipe (25) connected to the concave side of the first bend, the projection of which in the plane of symmetry of the first bend has an angle α1 of between 5° and 85°, relative to the vertical, and the projection of which in a horizontal plane has an angle α2 of between 0° and 90° with respect to the plane of symmetry of the first bend.[French]
