Abstract[English]
A method for cross-linking an oligosilazane without use of inert gas control comprising the steps of: mixing the oligosilazane with a solvent; adding a soluble catalyst at a suitable rate to ensure consistent evolution of a gaseous by-product across the surface of the oligosilazane solution; wherein said inert gas control comprises measures to replace the atmosphere above the solution with water and/or oxygen depleted gas, including reactions performed within a glove box, using a Schlenk line, or with other purposeful addition of cloaking gases such as nitrogen, argon or dehumidified air. Also provided are polymers prepared by the method, preferably with a low oxygen content, composites prepared from the polymers and uses in aerospace, automotive, oil and gas industries.[French]
La présente invention concerne un procédé de réticulation d'un oligosilazane sans utilisation de contrôle de gaz inerte comprenant les étapes consistant à : mélanger l'oligosilazane avec un solvant ; ajouter un catalyseur soluble à une vitesse appropriée pour assurer une évolution cohérente d'un sous-produit gazeux à travers la surface de la solution d'oligosilazane ; ledit contrôle de gaz inerte comprenant des mesures pour remplacer l'atmosphère au-dessus de la solution par de l'eau et/ou un gaz appauvri en oxygène, y compris des réactions effectuées à l'intérieur d'une boîte à gants, à l'aide d'une ligne de Schlenk, ou avec une autre addition efficace de gaz de masquage tels que l'azote, l'argon ou l'air déshumidifié. L'invention concerne également des polymères préparés par le procédé, de préférence à faible teneur en oxygène, des composites préparés à partir des polymères et des utilisations dans l'industrie aérospatiale, automobile, pétrolière et gazière.
