Abstract[English]
The invention relates to a tubular prostate-friendly bicycle saddle (1), which consists of a horizontally arranged tubular piece that acts as a seat for the cyclist. The saddle (1), arranged transversely to the rear wheel of the bicycle, allows only the buttocks to be supported, such that the cyclist’s weight is not supported by the pelvic area, thereby solving the problem of pelvic injuries. The tubular shape (5) of the seat provides ergonomic operation, maintaining constant contact with the buttocks during peddling, without discomfort owing to changes in the surface. The rigid texture of the saddle provides stability to the cyclist. The transverse orientation of the seat (1) allows a larger area (8) of contact with the buttocks to be used, resulting in greater distribution of the cyclist’s weight.[Spanish]
