A chainsaw, comprising: a main-unit housing having a front portion, a rear portion, and an intermediate portion between the front portion and the rear portion; and a battery pack attached to the rear portion of the main-unit housing and supplying power to at least an electric motor, wherein when the battery pack is attached to the main-unit housing and the chainsaw is stably placed, the orthographic projection of the whole chainsaw is observed in an up-down direction, and in a front-rear direction, the ratio of the overlap length L1 between the battery pack and the main-unit housing to the length L2 of the main-unit housing is greater than or equal to 0.3.[French]
