The present invention relates to the technical field of liquid crystal display, and specifically relates to a cholesteric liquid crystal composition and the use thereof. The cholesteric liquid crystal composition of the present invention comprises one or more compounds as represented by general formula I below, one or more compounds as represented by general formula II below, one or more compounds as represented by general formula III below, one or more compounds as represented by general formula IV below, one or more compounds as represented by general formula V below, and one or more compounds as represented by general formula VI below. The cholesteric liquid crystal composition of the present invention has the characteristic that the central reflection wavelength thereof has good temperature stability due to the synergistic effect among the compounds as represented by general formulas I-VI, which is embodied in that within the range of 0-50°C, the variation of the central reflection wavelength does not exceed 5 nm; and the cholesteric liquid crystal composition is particularly suitable for a cholesteric bistable display, and can improve the display effect of existing bistable displays in a relatively wide temperature range.[French]
