A reflective liquid crystal display, a cholesteric display, and a manufacturing method and driving method for a cholesteric display. The cholesteric display constructs a cholesteric microdroplet layer from broadband red, green and blue microdroplets, and is addressed by a TFT active matrix by means of vertical and in-plane switching. Cholesteric full-spectrum Bragg reflection ensures bright reflection and color reproduction. The cholesteric display not only provides video-speed dynamic pictures having infinite colors, but also provides excellent static images.[French]
