System and method for improving performance in an optical link. The optical link includes a plurality of communication channels for transmitting an optical signal. The method is performed by a link controller of the optical link. The method comprises determining a noise level of at least one channel of the plurality of channels, determining a launch power offset for the at least one channel and performing link commissioning based at least in part on the launch power offset.[French]
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé d'amélioration des performances dans une liaison optique. La liaison optique comprend une pluralité de canaux de communication servant à transmettre un signal optique. Le procédé est mis en œuvre par un contrôleur de liaison de la liaison optique. Le procédé consiste à déterminer un niveau de bruit d'au moins un canal de la pluralité de canaux, déterminer un décalage de la puissance d'entrée pour le ou les canaux et effectuer une mise en service de la liaison sur la base, au moins en partie, du décalage de la puissance d'entrée.
