Intellectual property is a core practice. LEGELATA assists with trademark registration and portfolio protection, opposition proceedings, IP litigation, copyright agreements and IP aspects of commercial transactions. Its work also includes customs registration of trademarks to help prevent counterfeit imports, as well as advice on patent pools and standards compliance.

Gor Margaryan
Position: Managing Partner
Gor Margaryan advises on intellectual property, corporate transactions and dispute resolution. His experience includes representing Burberry in IP-related litigation, alongside work on cross-border investments, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, and arbitration. He has served as LEGELATA’s Managing Partner since 2010 and is a member of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia. He holds an MBA from the University of Manchester and LLM degrees from Goethe University and the University of Essex.

Position: Senior Associate
Emma Petrosyan focuses on intellectual property, information technology and telecommunications, and litigation and arbitration. She assists clients with trademark registration, portfolio protection and brand-related disputes in Armenia. Her experience includes matters for Vashpatent, C.P.C. Creative Perfume Company Holding, LEGO Juris, Rigo Trading and Soyuzplodimport. She joined LEGELATA in 2023 and became a Senior Associate in 2025. She holds a master’s degree in Business Law and International Arbitration and a bachelor’s degree in law from Yerevan State University.
