Abstract[English]
Apparatus and related methods relate to a self-expanding temporary pacing lead. In an illustrative embodiment, a temporary pacing lead may include an enclosed loop at a lead distal end. The enclosed loop may form a permanently closed perimeter. The enclosed loop may, for example, include a biasing member having an expanded equilibrium shape. The biasing member may urge the enclosed loop to an expanded configuration. The enclosed loop may have at least a first electrode site located on a first side of a linear loop axis. For example, at least a second electrode site may be located on a second side of the linear loop axis. The first electrode site and the second electrode site may be spatially distributed along a distal portion of the enclosed loop. Various embodiments may advantageously provide a safe, easy to use, and cost-effective temporary pacing lead.[French]
