Abstract[English]
The present invention is directed to substituted 1-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)-3-methyl-2- phenylbutan-2-ol and 1-cyclopentyl-2-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)-1-phenylethan-1-ol compounds useful as agonists of 8-oxo-guanine DNA glycosylase (OGG1) in humans, as well as pharmaceutical compositions comprising them and methods of their use in treating diseases, including metabolic syndrome, obesity, fatty liver disease, dyslipidemia, insulin resistance, neurodegenerative disorders and cancers.[French]
